Taru Fui's nine-year struggle ends
, who gave some memorable performances in films and serials, passed away on Thursday at a suburan nursing home. The actress was fighting for the last nine years.
Rasika, 39, was a versatile actress.
From playing Taru Fui in Ekta Kapoor’s acclaimed TV show Bandini to Tusshar Kapoor’s mother in Gayab to and school principal in Shah Rukh Khan’s Billu, she was known for her range and variety.
She will be remembered as the chirpy Janki Upadhyay and Paresh Rawal’s wife in Priyadarshan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and a favourite of Ram Gopal Varma, in films such as Darna Zaruri Hai, Vaastu Shastra, Gayab and Ek Haseena Thi.
Her most recent role with RGV was the controversial It’s Not A Love Story where she played Neeraj Grover’s mother.
She also wrote the Marathi Yanda Kartavya Ahe.
